This company is an organisation bound by the 10 National Privacy Principles established under the Privacy Act of 1988. Such Principles are available (on the Office of the Privacy Commissioner website or from our premises) |

The kind of personal information that this company holds is: |

in respect of sales, service, repair, supply of parts, etc. personal details as set out in our job card, vehicle, machinery and motorcycle sales contract/credit application and any other documents which we make available to you in relation to purchase of motor vehicle, machinery and motorcycle, parts, authority to repair, etc. |

The only other information we might have on customers is that obtained by phone calls from various personnel or through our Service Department in relation to contacting you, obtaining authority to repair, quotes, or purchase of automotive, machinery and motorcycle products, and from website responses or surveys. |

(c) |
To our knowledge the only other area of record keeping in relation to personal information about our clients is in respect of accounts, invoices and payments/receipts thereof. |

The main purpose that our company holds information is: |

To maintain customer goodwill for the purpose of repeat business, warranty, contact and follow- up for sales and service, and other purposes related to the running of this business. |

To ensure that the person authorising repair, purchase of motor machinery and motorcycles, etc, can be identified in the event of a dispute over machinery and motorcycle ownership (e.g. in the event of separation, divorce, etc) or where there is a dispute over who is the registered owner and or who gave the authority to repair or purchase automotive goods, including parts, fuel, etc. (e.g. family member friend/ employee/agent of yours). |

Occasionally this company contracts out services to a third party (e.g. specialist repair) or fitment (e.g. window replacement, etc.) which carries out work that cannot be performed by our company or at our premises. The type of personal information given to these businesses is: vehicle, machinery or motorcycle registration, model, and any other necessary information to identify the vehicle, machinery or motorcycle worked on and to ensure that warranty is applicable to your vehicle, machinery or motorcycle where such third party has carried out the sublet work of repair, replacement, warranty installation certificates, and warranty claims, etc. |
