Machine Description:
The Massey Ferguson 1840E is a dependable, 4WD compact tractor built for landowners who require an “economical over-achiever” for heavy-duty property maintenance. It is powered by a brawny 1.49-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged Iseki diesel engine that delivers a rated engine power of 39.4 HP (29.4 kW). Renowned for their fuel efficiency and reliability, these liquid-cooled engines provide the generous torque needed to power through the toughest conditions.
Efficiency is driven by a 3-range hydrostatic transmission, which uses an intuitive rocker pedal for smooth, infinite speed control. The 1840E features a robust heavy cast rear end and a Cat. 1 three-point hitch with a lift capacity of 1,000 kg at the ball ends. Its hydraulic system provides an implement flow of 28.9 LPM, supporting a wide range of quick-attach implements like the MF FL 2609 loader.
Operator comfort is central to the design, featuring a spring-cushioned seat, a spacious platform with easy-to-reach controls, and excellent visibility. Practicality is further enhanced by ground-level fuelling for the 38L tank and a folding ROPS that allows the tractor to fit through a standard 7-foot garage door.
